          Department of Home Science has conducted a ONE-DAY WORKSHOP ON PREPARATION OF NUTRI-SNACKS WITH MILLETS. Mr. Rama Dorai Balakrishna is invited as resource person. The session has imparted skill in preparing traditional recipes such as chekkalu, laddus, jantikalu using ragi flour. Millets are highly nutritious and recommended mostly in diet because of their low-glycemic index. Students felt, the session was very useful and enthusiastic and took active interaction during the session.

          Department of Home Science has conducted a TWO-DAY HANDS-ON TRAINING SESSIONS IN Auto CAD/ Sketch up. Mr. Dileep Kumar, Design Engineer, AOG Solutions is invited as resource person. The session has imparted skill in rendering and layering techniques in designing interiors using Auto CAD/Sketch up. Students felt, the session was very useful and enthusiastic and took active interaction during the overall session.

Mrs. Deepthi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, St. Joseph’s College for Women (A) is invited as resource person. Addressed the students and explained the use of MS-Excel. The session has imparted skill in Ms-excel. Students felt, the session was very useful and enthusiastic and took active interaction during the overall session.

Alumni meet - December 11th-2021

 REPORT ON ALUMNAE 2021.

We the department of Home Science conducted an ALUMNAE MEET on 11th December 2021 with the coordination of the 19AG batch students. There are around 35 alumnae students attended to the meet ,we had so many cultural held in the alumnae  like dance , singing, etc,.

Some of our alumnae also participated in the cultural by singing, sharing their college life and also shared about their college life and also showed themselves how successful they are. So many of our alumnae are successful dietitians, entrepreneurs and also motivated everyone, that how they can succeed in their lives with their talents and help them develop holistically in which they gain in our subject HOME SCIENCE.

There are so many students who are also the future dietitians and entrepreneurs and successful homemakers.

At the end of the alumnae meet they gave their feedback and enjoyed a lot with our department alumnae meet in their own college.

          Department of Home Science has conducted a guest lecture on the BEHAVIORAL PROBLEMS IN CHILDREN. Ms. Sheema Parveen, Counsellar, Brandix India Apparel City is invited as guest speaker. The session was started by introducing the guest speaker and continued by the lecture. The lecture has given a good insight on behavioral problems commonly encountered in children and how to counsel and handle parents and children respectively. Students felt, the session was very fascinating and enthusiastic and took active interaction during the guest lecture.

          Department of Home Science has conducted a three day workshop on MEASURES OF CENTRAL TENDENCY – MEAN, MEDIAN, and MODE.  The guest speaker for the workshop is Mr. Gandhi, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, Mrs. AVN College.  During the workshop the students were trained in solving problems and calculation of mean, median and mode. The application of the three measures of central tendency was elaborated on. Students felt, the session was very interesting and enthusiastic and took active interaction during the workshop.
