Students
of III year Home science went to visit
St Joseph’s home for the aged with the assistance of Sr.Dipali on 7-7-2023. Students
interacted with the aged one’s and collected some general information.
The organization looks
after both males and females of above 50 years. Most of the aged people are
natives of Visakhapatnam and some of them are from other states like Kerala and
other districts of Andhra Pradesh.
ACTIVITIES
·
The
voluntary organization provides medical checkup twice a month.
·
The
barber visits once in a week.
·
Students
from different schools and colleges
visits the organization and thoroughly interacts and engage with their
activities like skit, drama.
DONATIONS
·
The
organization does not receive any funds but they run the organization only with
the donations.
·
The
main donors are rotary club people.
·
It
is a charitable organization.
·
The
donors will provide monthly requirement early
week of the month.
EMERGENCY
ISSUES
If there is any serious issue they
will admit them in St Joseph’s hospital.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
·
Students interacted
with the aged people and with the management.
·
Students
learnt about how the organization is maintained.
·
Students
learnt about the goals and objectives followed by the organization.
·
They
observed how the management is taking care of elderly people according to their
needs .
CONCLUSION
Students had a great
exposure with the visiting of the Home for the aged. They understood clearly
about the management of the voluntary organization for the aged.
