On August 7th, 2024, the Department of Home Science celebrated National Handloom Day with a vibrant display of handloom sarees from various states. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Y. Lakshmi Prabha, former Head of the Home Science Department, alongside Sr. Mary, Superintendent, Sr. Daisy, and Sr. Nancy.
Final-year Home Science students showcased an impressive collection of handloom sarees, representing the rich textile heritage of India. The display also featured a creatively designed photo booth, adding a touch of interaction and fun to the event.
The exhibit attracted visitors from various departments, faculty members, school teachers, and students from St. Joseph's School, including the school's principal. The visitors were highly impressed by the creativity, cultural representation, and the dedication of the students in organizing such an inspiring display.
