The Department of Home Science collaborated with the DHAN foundation to design an extension education program tailored to the specific needs of the NGO's beneficiaries on 15.02.2024. Spearheaded by second-year Home Science students, the program aimed to educate participants on nutrition, with a particular focus on the significance of incorporating iron-rich foods into the diets of females of reproductive age at Appu ghar, MVP colony . The session included a detailed lecture covering the importance, necessity, and benefits of  calcium consumption, accompanied by a live demonstration of nutritious recipes. To ensure active engagement, students utilized a diverse range of interactive tools, including charts, pamphlets, leaflets, puppet shows, and games. Moreover, they introduced innovative recipes such as Malted beverage powder and Methi paratha, highlighting their nutritional value. The session fostered a highly interactive environment, leaving attendees with valuable insights into maintaining a well-balanced diet.
