Extension Activity at Anganwadi – R P Peta

The Second Year B.Sc. Home Science students visited the Anganwadi center at R.P. Peta, Kancharapalem as part of an extension activity, accompanied by faculty members from the department.
The visit focused on creating awareness about the importance of calcium and overall nutrition among mothers and caregivers in the community. The students actively engaged in a variety of educational and interactive sessions, including:

• Live demonstration of calcium-rich and affordable recipes such as chapati made with soya and wheat flour, sesame chutney, and calcium-rich laddus
• A skit highlighting calcium deficiency symptoms and ways to prevent them through proper diet
• Poster presentations to visually convey key nutritional messages
• Play-based activities for children to promote interest in healthy eating habits from a young age

This outreach program served as a practical learning experience for the students and helped spread nutritional awareness at the grassroots level. The community members responded positively, showing enthusiasm and participation throughout the session.
The department extends sincere thanks to the Anganwadi staff and college management for their support in making the visit meaningful and impactful.

The Second Year B.Sc. Home Science students visited the Anganwadi center at Sagar Nagar as part of an extension activity, accompanied by faculty members from the department.The visit focused on creating awareness about the imprtance of Vitamin B and overall nutrition among mothers and caregivers in the community. The students actively engaged in a variety of educational and interactive sessions, including:

• Live demonstration of healthy and affordable recipes rich in Vitamin 
• A skit highlighting symptoms of Vitamin B deficiency and ways to prevent it through proper diet
• Poster presentations to visually convey key nutritional messages
• Play-based activities for children to promote interest in healthy eating habits from a young age
