Field Visit to Victoria Hospital

No of Student: 15

Date: 25/8/25

As a part of the Life Span Development curriculum, the II Degree students of Home Science visited Victoria Hospital, Visakhapatnam. The objective of the visit was to gain practical knowledge on prenatal and postnatal development, infant reflexes, and anthropometric measurements.\

During the visit, the students interacted with maternal mothers through personal interviews and administered a structured questionnaire as tools for collecting information. They also observed various infant reflexes and recorded anthropometric measurements, which helped them understand the developmental patterns more effectively.

This field exposure provided the students with valuable hands-on learning experience beyond the classroom, bridging theoretical concepts with practical applications in maternal and child health.
